Photos: St. Patrick's Day in NYC

It's St. Patrick's Day, and we know this because there are masses of people wandering around wearing kilts, green Mardi Gras beads with enormous shamrocks on them, "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" T-shirts from Urban Outfitters circa 2004 and celebration carnations pinned to their lapels. In New York City, the craic is the fact that the sun is finally hot, and you don't need a jacket for the first time since fall. Luck of the Irish, indeed. Check back throughout the day for debauchery and more photographic proof.
