Time Out says

A wide variety of documentaries, narrative films and shorts awaits you at this packed festival. The New York Jewish Film Festival, running from January 12 through 23, will showcase 29 films with both in-person and virtual offerings.

Among the powerful films: The world premiere of a new 4K restoration of the groundbreaking 1997 documentary "A Life Apart: Hasidism in America" by Oren Rudavsky and Menachem Daum.

The festival is among the oldest and most influential Jewish film festivals worldwide.
