This busy spot has morphed from bar to full-on restaurant, now with a vast waterside terrace. The menu ranges from seafood, meat, salad and cheese antipasti, through pasta dishes such as tagliolini with duck and autumn greens, to Angus steak (the house speciality), prepared every which way. Vegetarians are well served with a dozen or so options; and there's a small but well-chosen wine list. A decent spread of comfort-desserts like tiramisù round off the restaurant's something-for-everyone selection.

This used to be a wonderful restaurant. It has got too big for its boots. Tough steak. Brisk and unfriendly staff. Avoid it!
