This large pizzeria-restaurant with artsy-rustic decor serves up tasty pizzas to a mainly student clientele. The usual range of Venetian primi and secondi is on offer as well, but you'll eat better, and more cheaply, if you stick to pizza. There's a garden out the back.
The same fare is served at the new, scenic Ristorante Terrazza del Casin dei Nobili, on the Giudecca-facing Zattere (Dorsoduro 924-5, 041 520 6895, closed Thur).

The only downside was the service which was poor but it wasn't an issue to us.
Food fantastic, I was delighted that an Italian contractor working in Venice sat next to me chose the same dish. Cheap by Venice standards and very tasty indeed.
Disagree about the pizza comment in the review - it's all good.
