Time Out Market New York, the food and cultural destination offering a curated mix of New York’s unique culinary talent, announces an exciting addition to its stellar roster. On Wednesday, October 28th, Chote Miya will join the lineup alongside some of the city’s most acclaimed chefs and much-loved eateries.

Developed by the Owner of Bombay House Hospitality, Jimmy Rizvi, Chote Miya is his newest culinary venture following the success of Gramercy Park hotspot, Gupshup. Chote Miya means “a regular, approachable guy” in Hindi and is Jimmy’s homage to Bombay’s famous street-side eatery Bade Miya. Dishes by Head Chef Satinder Vij include favorites like vegetarian Bun Samosa and Samosa Chaat, the Dal Makhani and Delhi Butter Chicken curries, a Mushroom Galouti Kabab and Magic Masala Fries alongside traditional Indian beverages such as Rose Lassi, Thumbs Up and Limca. A fun and playful concept that celebrates Indian street food, Chote Miya’s  food  comes packaged in containers featuring brightly colored stickers with notes and postcards written in the style of friends or family back in India.

“To open Chote Miya right now means a lot to me. It’s the food I grew up with in India and a significant next step for Bombay House Hospitality,” says Owner Jimmy Rizvi. “Time Out Market New York is an incredible, supportive collaborator, and I really look forward to sharing our food with our friends, neighbors and visitors.”

“We are thrilled to welcome restaurateur Jimmy Rizvi to Time Out Market New York. Chote Miya further adds to the diverse cultural experience we are creating at the Market,” says Time Out Market New York GM Scott Ubert. “We are fortunate to work with New York City’s beloved chefs and restaurateurs — especially when we can collaborate with them to innovate and expand new concepts and ideas.”

Located on Dumbo’s waterfront, Time Out Market New York spans 33,000 square feet, allowing guests to safely and comfortably social distance with an array of seating indoors and outdoors. Additional health and safety measures have been implemented such as: advanced air filtration systems, sanitizing stations, contactless ordering via the Time Out Market app, delivery via DoorDash, a dedicated cleaning crew, plexiglass partitions and more.

As Time Out Market New York continues to stagger onboarding chefs and new concepts to comply with social distancing, the Market welcomes guests to taste exceptional dishes from nine eateries alongside curated beverages from its two expansive bars. While many locals are indulging in staycations, Time Out Market offers a Time Out Tastecation for guests to experience culinary voyage through their taste buds.
