High Street in Melbourne tops the third annual list of the Coolest Streets in the World, released today by Time Out, the global brand that inspires and enables people to experience the best of the city.  Time Out’s list of the Coolest Streets in the World highlights some of the most must-visit streets, roads, avenues, plazas and boulevards in cities around the globe, where locals head for a guaranteed good time. To come up with the ranking, Time Out’s global network of local editors and writers nominated the Coolest Street in their city right now – based on their hyperlocal insights and expertise – factoring in food, drink, fun, art, culture, nightlife and community vibes; all the factors which Time Out believes make cities, and spots within them, great places to live in and visit.  Melbourne continues to rank highly in Time Out’s annual list of Coolest Streets: in 2022, Gertrude Street came second, and in 2021 Smith Street topped the list. Leah Glynn, Time Out Melbourne Editor explains why High Street is this year’s number one: “Melburnians are spoiled for choice when it comes to well-trodden thoroughfares that deliver on food, culture and fun (hello Chapel Street, Sydney Road and Smith Street, to name a few). But in 2024, we’re shining the spotlight on the major artery that flows through the inner-north ’burbs of Thornbury, Northcote and Preston: High Street. “It’s cool in all the ways you’d expect – epic restaurants, hidden bars, live music venues and boutique shops – but

For decades, Coca-Cola has been a part of iconic food and culture moments – from films to music hits and more. Today, Coca-Cola is unveiling Foodmarks, which celebrate newly-created global "food landmarks" inspired by culture, created with the real magic of Coca-Cola. Launching across the world, Foodmarks are destinations and experiences with a recipe of three key ingredients: the perfect moment, the perfect meal, and an ice-cold Coca-Cola.  To launch the campaign, Coca-Cola will debut five immersive experiences globally, each inspired by a captivating moment in culture. The debut Foodmarks will invite people to rediscover the magic created during the original moment – from the time Marilyn Monroe was photographed enjoying a hot dog and a Coca-Cola from a New York City street cart, to scenes captured in the Hong Kong film “The God of Cookery.” More than 400 Foodmarks are highlighted at launch in cities and neighborhoods around the world, with more being added over the coming weeks, brought to life through a unique partnership with Time Out. Here are some of the debut, immersive launch experiences that fans can expect to see in 2024: New York City, USA – February 16-17 The first iconic Foodmark experience will debut in New York City, inspired by the famous photograph of Marilyn Monroe stopping traffic while enjoying a hot dog and an ice-cold Coca-Cola. This immersive three-day experience will create a perfect mashup of 1957 and 2024, incorporating theater, dance, technology,

Time Out’s annual list of the Best Cities in the World provides inspiration for travel this year, but also a global snapshot of city living, with an emphasis on the factors which Time Out believes make cities great places to live and visit.  Each year, Time Out - the global media and hospitality brand that helps people experience the best of the city - surveys thousands of locals to get a unique insight into the reality of living in the world’s greatest cities right now. This year, city-dwellers were asked about the quality and affordability of the food, culture and nightlife scenes in their city and how their city makes them feel, from happiness to romance. Survey respondents were also asked about which other city they would most like to live in. These insights were combined with those of more than 100 well-travelled Time Out staff writers and editors, based in cities all over the world, who were polled for their take on which cities are the most exciting right now.
