Time Out says

In 1942, this grand theatre became a main point of assembly for between 60,000 and 80,000 of the city's Jews before they were taken to the transit camp at Westerbork. It's now a monument with a small but very impressive exhibition and a memorial hall displaying 6,700 surnames by way of tribute to the 104,000 Dutch Jews who were exterminated. The façade has been left intact, with most of the inner structure removed to make way for a memorial.
