Despite its Swiss origins, the Dutch adopted the cheese fondue as a 'national dish' long ago. Sample its culinary conviviality at this suitably cosy brown bar that was established by the rather unlikely fiat of a nuclear physicist: the menu is affordable and the bar stocked with a generous variety of grease-cutting agents.
