Bali’s festival scene is getting a serious upgrade this year. Day Zero Bali, one of the most talked-about new arrivals on Asia’s music calendar, is set to land on the Island of the Gods. This marks the Bali debut of Damian Lazarus’ cult Day Zero series, which first gained a global following in Tulum. Think sunset-to-sunrise sets across the island, world-renowned DJs, and a heck of a good time.

What’s Day Zero?

At its core, Day Zero is a sunset-to-sunrise electronic music festival that leans into mysticism, ritual and nature, rather than the usual big-room EDM formula. First launched in 2012 by Damian Lazarus to mark the end of the Mayan calendar, it has since evolved into a cult, globally recognised gathering known for its immersive art, theatrical performances and striking visual production. It draws an international crowd of electronic music heads, festival travellers and those chasing that slightly elusive “transformational” experience.

Where and when is Day Zero Bali held?

Day Zero Bali unfolds as a week-long, island-wide experience, running from Apr 14 to 19, 2026, with a series of sunset gatherings, night events and curated showcases across Bali. Expect satellite parties at venues like Ulu Cliffhouse and Savaya Bali in Uluwatu, as well as Desa Kitsuné in Canggu.

The main event takes place on Apr 17, 2026, with a sunset-to-sunrise ceremony at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park. Perched on a dramatic hilltop in Ungasan, the sprawling complex is best known for its towering statue of the Hindu god Vishnu riding Garuda, and has previously hosted large-scale events like Djakarta Warehouse Project. It’s a fittingly grand backdrop for Day Zero’s signature style.

Who’s playing at Day Zero Bali?

The lineup leans firmly into the global underground circuit, with names that’ll feel right at home to anyone who’s danced their way through Burning Man or Tulum. Expect a mix of melodic house, deep techno and genre-blurring sets from heavyweights like Bonobo, Âme, Jamie Jones, John Summit, Francis Mercier and Damian Lazarus himself.

For the main ceremony on April 17, the programme expands with live sets from Jan Blomqvist and Satori, alongside appearances by Acid Pauli, Kitty Amor, Brunello, and Meera. There’s also a strong local presence, with Bali-based artists like PNNY and Tina Colada rounding out the lineup.

How much are tickets for Day Zero Bali?

Tickets for Day Zero Bali 2026 are now available online, with several tiers to suit how you want to experience the night. Sunset tickets start at IDR 1,650,000 (with guaranteed entry only before 6pm), while General Admission tickets start at IDR 2,100,000 for the main event. If you’re going all in, XXTRA tickets from IDR 5,000,000 unlock access to a private area, dedicated bar and bathrooms, plus fast-track entry.

Beyond the main ceremony, satellite parties throughout the week are ticketed separately. These smaller events tend to sell out quickly, especially for popular venues, so it’s worth locking them in early if you’re planning to follow the full Day Zero journey across the island.
