It's National Irish Coffee Day—and if anyone can nail the concept of mixing coffee with liquor, it's Austin. So where are you celebrating this most holy of holidays? Easy—Nickel City. The neighborhood watering hole is offering an entire Irish coffee menu, which includes four drinks: the classic Buena Vista Cafe Irish Coffee, Frozen Irish Coffee, Kinda Like An Espresso Martini (for all you fancy folks) and a Breakfast Lindy (a boilermaker). Who says you have to order just one?

Parkside has been celebrating their 10 year anniversary all week, with half price oysters and bubbles. You'll also be able to score dessert wine for $10, 10 freshly baked cookies to take home, 10% off vouchers for your next visit and more goodies. The celebration ends on January 31.

Catch Sleep at ACL Live. The kings of stoner and doom metal return to Austin for a massive show with one of the city’s most impressive sound systems behind them. Since reuniting in 2009 with new drummer Jason Roeder, guitarist Matt Pike and bassist Al Cisneros haven’t released any new material (their last album, Dopesmoker, dropped in 1999), but in November, the band posted a message in Morse code saying a new album was almost finished. This tour may mark the epic turning point faithful fans have anticipated for almost a decade.
