Hailing from Perth, Dice is one of the fastest-rising bands in Australia’s indie rock scene. They’ve rocked sold-out venues nationwide and headlined some of the country’s biggest festivals, but it’s their local stage in Scarborough where the boys truly belong. Join drummer Sam Barrett-Lennard, lead guitarist Tom King, bass guitarist Regan Beazley and vocalist Ben Hodge as they take us around their stomping grounds.

The Indian Ocean Hotel

Scarborough’s legendary music venue, The Indi Bar, has been booking a thrashing roster of local bands like The Grogans, Teen Jesus, John Butler Trio and The Vanns since 1972. Fun fact: Dice kicked off their music career here with one of their first-ever gigs, and guitarist Tom King even worked a stint behind the bar. Rally around the electrifying Plug and Play nights every Thursday from 8pm till midnight, showcasing a stacked line-up of local legends.

Grab the sunscreen, your boardies, the chilly bin and an umbrella, and head to Scarborough Beach. Dive straight into the crystal clear water, then relax on the soft sands, as you watch surfers navigate the tides.

Diabolik Books and Records

Let’s be real, vinyl will never go out of style. Dice’s go-to spot for records and books is Diabolik, located a 15-minute drive down Scarborough Beach Road in Mount Hawthorn. Here, you’ll find records from local Aussie legends, along with games, cards, gifts and books spanning every genre possible.

Varsity Bar

Take a break at Varsity Bar, a quintessential all-American sports bar with nine different locations across Perth. Dice head here at least once a month to try Varsity’s legendary Burger of the Month, which could be loaded with anything from mozzarella sticks and Kentucky fried cheese curd to Jalapeno nuggets and potato gems. Dice even teamed up with Varsity for a burger special last May, featuring beer-battered jalapenos, soul chicken, fried pickles, sun-dried tomato salsa and more.
