Time Out says

Still in possession of its original plumbing, the 'magic fountain' works its wonders with 3,600 pieces of tubing and more than 4,500 light bulbs. Throughout the year, the multiple founts swell and dance to anything from the '1812 Overture' to Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé's 'Barcelona', showing off a kaleidoscope of pastel colours.

When I heard there was a fountain in Barcelona that would rival a fireworks display I had to go see. It’s a massive tourist trap but then it’s easy to see why. The fountain is beautifully choreographed to music and lights. I must admit I preferred the more classic tunes to Rhianna but it’s catering to the masses. It’s worth visiting the fountain display one evening; make the walk, grab a beer, and dodge the selfie sticks.
