You might not want to hear it, but there's only 10 weeks until Christmas... Time then, for the arrival of Ice Skate Birmingham, which will be returning to Centenary Square on November 14.

Positioned in its usual spot outside the Library of Birmingham, the 600 square meter ice rink can accommodate up to 300 people at any one time, with disabled access and penguin skating aids available for youngsters.

Along with the ice rink, you'll be able to get some great views of Birmingham sat up on the big wheel, while the neighbouring Ice Lounge will offer a range of festive food and drink to skaters and spectators. Plus, the Frankfurt Christmas Market will be nearby for those looking to do a spot of gift shopping.

Ice Skate Birmingham will remain in place until January 10, with skating sessions on Christmas Eve from 10am-6pm and a special New Years Eve opening from 10am-1am. And for a magical way to celebrate the start of 2016, the last session on New Year's Eve starts at 12.15am, just after the fireworks.
