Once it was a distribution centre for John Lewis department store. Now the huge building on Patchway Trading Estate is home to Bristol AirHop – thought to be largest trampoline park in the world.

AirHop

Boasting an impressive 60,000 square feet of space (easily topping the 44,000 square foot venue in New Orleans, Louisiana, which previously claimed to be the biggest), AirHop features 177 wall-to-wall trampolines and a range of activities that can host up to 250 people

The new Bristol trampoline park – which has set a grand opening for September 26 – is the second AirHop to be opened, following the success of the first site in Guildford.

However, thanks to the large scale of the Bristol site, the new AirHop will be able to offer many more activities, including the 'Gladiators' style Battle Beams, as well as dodge ball courts, slack lines, basketball slam dunk courts and the Total Wipeout Zone (essentially, a mechanical spinning arm with two 'log' booms you need to duck or jump over). While fun, those looking to burn off a big breakfast might also be interested to hear that exercising at a trampoline park can burn up to 1000 calories per hour.

AirHop

AirHop Bristol will cater for children's parties (and can host up to nine private parties for 20 kids each), but will also make an interesting location for team building exercises too. Because you all want to know if Terry from IT and Kate in Payroll can perform a somersault after your meeting (in one of the dedicated AirHop conference rooms)...

The booking system will go live in early September for a soft launch and will be followed by the grand opening on September 26, where there will be a carnival-themed party with food and entertainment throughout the day.

AirHop Bristol, Unit 5, Patchway Trading Estate, Patchway, Bristol, BS34 5TA. Open Monday-Thursday, 10am-9pm, Friday-Saturday, 9am-10pm, Sunday 9am-8pm. Find more information on the AirHop website or keep up-to-date on Facebook
