Catch some classic Madchester sounds with Black Grape’s 2015 comeback tour.
Two decades since the release of Black Grape's debut album, 'It's Great When You're Straight... Yeah', the group marks the anniversary with a succession of special comeback shows.
After the Happy Mondays disbanded in 1992, many assumed that that might be it for Shaun Ryder, who struggled with numerous drug addictions. But it wasn't so, as three years later he returned to the top of the charts with a new band, Black Grape.
It's rather poignant, then, that the legacy of both Black Grape and Shaun Ryder in his own right lives on some twenty years later. Resilient stuff, but also brilliantly bizarre, humorous and clever, with lyrics venturing into everything from drug culture to literature.
