This talk explores how Malcolm X's story of radicalisation relates to race, class and religion in today's modern age, and comes as part of 'Come The Revolution', a series of screenings, discussions and events marking the 50th anniversary of Alex Haley’s seminal biography on Malcolm X whilst reflecting on the Civil Rights movement and its icons.
Speakers include writer and curator Karen Alexander, commentator and author Roger Griffith, historian and writer Edson Burton, historian Madge Dresser, plus community activist and entrepreneur Jendayi Smith.
