Going out to eat with kids can be an adventure... or a nightmare. But when a restaurant is designed for the whole family, the experience turns into a true plan everyone looks forward to. Buenos Aires is full of restaurants perfect for kids, where little ones can play, draw, dress up, or simply move around freely, while the grown-ups enjoy good food without losing their patience (or a hot plate).

From pizzerias with playrooms to traditional bodegones with caregivers and kids’ menus, here’s a guide to some of the best family-friendly restaurants. Spacious places, kid-friendly offers, and menus that mix classics with homemade flavors. Because eating well and having fun as a family is totally possible!

1. Aida

In a quiet corner of Villa Luro, Aida is one of those places that make both kids and adults happy. With the spirit of a modern bodegón, this restaurant and café combines generous portions and tasty dishes with a huge, well-equipped play area. From a ball pit with obstacles, costumes, and role-playing games, to foosball, video game consoles, and caregivers who accompany the little ones, the plan is set so nobody gets bored.

The menu includes a kids’ section with options like breaded chicken, burgers, and pasta, plus desserts specially made for those with a sweet tooth. Ideal for a family lunch or a long afternoon snack, Aida hits the winning combo: good food, a friendly space, and happy kids.

Tip: Save room for dessert and order the XL cookie with ice cream — it arrives at the table like a celebration.

Where: Pola 299, Villa Luro.

2. La Payuca

With the spirit of a classic porteño grill and a family heart, La Payuca has become a fail-safe classic for those wanting to dine out without giving up on the kids’ fun. Its open grill invites fans of asado and traditional cuts, while the menu also surprises with refined dishes. But what really sets it apart is its exclusive kids’ area: tablets, PlayStation, foosball, educational games, and activities guided by assistants who take care of both fun and supervision.

The “Gury” menu is designed especially for children, with options like breaded meat, burgers, chicken drumsticks, or pasta, plus a drink and dessert (ice cream or flan). With this menu, kids get access to the play area, designed for different ages. In the afternoons, the plan turns into a full snack time with mate vibes. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

Tip: In the main dining room, screens show live footage of the kids’ area, so adults can eat peacefully while watching the children have fun.

3. Lo de Carlitos

When it comes to outings with kids, Lo de Carlitos is synonymous with family tradition and pancakes. With several locations in different neighborhoods, many have play areas, and all share a relaxed spirit where kids are the stars. In locations like Olivos, for example, there are designated play sections so kids can have fun while adults enjoy their meals.

The kids’ menu is tempting — with classics like burgers, nuggets, and pasta — and comes with a toy, which always adds a bonus. Although not all branches have play spaces, each one has a family atmosphere, friendly service, and generous portions. For adults, the menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes and, of course, the famous pancakes in all versions.

Tip: The branches with play areas are Olivos, San Fernando, San Miguel, and Acassuso.

5. El Torreón

Located in the heart of Belgrano R, El Torreón has earned neighborhood love through flavor and tradition. With a bakery that smells of freshly baked croissants from the street and an extensive menu covering everything from breakfast to dinner, this classic combines the best of a bodegón with the most tempting Argentine pastries. The breaded meats are hearty and comforting, portions generous, and flavors have that homemade touch that makes you want to come back.

What makes El Torreón a perfect family plan is its playroom on the first floor. Designed especially for kids, it’s filled with toys, cars, painting areas, a slide, and everything needed to keep them entertained for a long time. Plus, there’s always a caregiver present, so adults can enjoy their meals in peace. Perfect for breakfast with friends, a family lunch, or a snack with cake and coffee while the kids play happily.

6. Blossom

Blossom is a restaurant with five locations (four in the North Zone and a recently opened one in the West Zone, downtown Castelar). All venues are huge, with sofas, communal tables, and lounge areas, but what stands out most are their outdoor spaces.

At the San Isidro, Martinez, and Castelar locations, they have kids’ menus and playrooms with nannies and lots of entertainment, all decorated and inspired by the movie Toy Story.

Tip: They’re open every day from morning until night, offering a broad menu of homemade dishes.

They have outdoor playgrounds like a park with wooden equipment, a rope bridge, and indoor games with a ball pit and video games. There is also a supervisor so kids can play for a while while adults are at the table. The food is American-style, with highlights being their burgers and ribs.

Tip: They have indoor tables, outdoor seating, and a beautiful terrace, but if you’re with very small kids, it’s best to reserve tables close to the play area so you can keep an eye on them without getting up all the time.
