In the heart of Palermo, Parque Tres de Febrero is a lovely place to wander and stroll. Among its woods and winding paths lies the Sívori Museum, with its charming garden, an excellent café, and art exhibitions that captivate every visitor.
This season, the museum is presenting the wonderful exhibition “A Handful of Earth” by visual artist Andrés Paredes. It’s a journey through the nature of the Misiones rainforest and an invitation to return to our place of origin—to the roots of our land.

I met Andrés Paredes in the vibrant city of Madrid, when he unveiled a magnificent installation of a colorful butterfly at the iconic Casa América building. The majesty of his art deeply resonates with me. After that encounter, his work became part of the Rivarola Collection, where I continue to have the pleasure of admiring it—and sharing it with everyone who visits the collection.
This new exhibition is no exception. His work maintains that unmistakable and moving imprint, perfectly combining sensitivity and strength—so characteristic of nature. He also plays with transformation, a fundamental conceptual axis in his pieces. Without a doubt, he is more than an artist. Andrés Paredes is a fighter—a natural-born defender of art, both his own and that of others.

In “A Handful of Earth”, he spreads his wings fully and takes flight. Each piece and installation brings us back to nature—to the soil, to animals, to the physical phenomena that leave their marks, and to the inert matter that is also part of this world. Another chance to be surprised and to resonate with his art.
A beautiful walk through the Bosques de Palermo, an unmissable visit to the Sívori Museum, and an exceptional exhibition like “A Handful of Earth”. A perfect plan for a delightful afternoon with family and friends.
