Sometimes you're in the mood for dinner, other times for a night out partying. But what if you could enjoy both experiences in the same place? That's exactly what Misión BA, the restaurant and boutique club located in Palermo, has to offer. We stopped by for dinner and tried some of its seafood dishes, paired with signature cocktails and music.

As soon as you step through the curtain just beyond the entrance, the experience begins. Featuring modern décor, dim lighting, projections and a large bar, the venue is spread across two levels, each with its own identity. On the ground floor, you'll find the dining tables and the bar, but the real surprise awaits upstairs: a bathroom covered in white tiles, inspired by Ibiza's nightclubs, complete with its own cocktail bar and DJ booth. Yes, a bathroom where the party keeps going.

But let's talk about what matters most: the food. The kitchen is led by chef Lucas Ríos, who created a menu inspired by flavours from around the world. There's plenty to choose from, with options ranging from fish, seafood and sushi to meats and handmade pasta. Some of the standout dishes include teriyaki-glazed sweetbreads, black rice with seafood and aioli, ribeye steak with a Malbec reduction, and octopus sorrentinos with sage and hondashi sauce.

We decided to focus on the seafood options, starting with the octopus, served with smoked sweet potato purée, pickles and spicy oil. Next came the sushi, one of the menu's main attractions. We went for an assortment of sushi pieces, including the nigiri, a house speciality. The selection features both traditional pieces and rolls with more elaborate combinations, such as the Golden Roll, made with garlic prawns, avocado, Philadelphia cream cheese, salmon and mango sauce.

The cocktail menu deserves a special mention. During our visit, we tried the Tokio, a cocktail made with Johnnie Walker Red Label whisky, passion fruit, cardamom honey, orange and pineapple, bringing together fruity and spiced notes in a single drink. Other standout options include the Munin, made with raspberry vodka, Aperol, lychee, lime, mint and red berries, and the Maui, featuring golden rum, chai liqueur, cinnamon and cardamom honey, pineapple, lemon and ginger.

For dessert, we chose the chocolate marquise, a sweet way to round off dinner. But at Misión BA, the night doesn't necessarily end there. As the hours go by, the music takes centre stage and the atmosphere transforms. It's a great option for a date night, dinner with friends or simply extending the evening over delicious food, cocktails and music.
