This summer, Villa Devoto—the neighborhood named the coolest in the city by Time Out Travel—is getting in on one of those nights that make you want to leave the house and stay out late. On Saturday, February 7, from 7 to 11 p.m., Summer Nights – Villa Devoto Edition arrives: a free event designed to stroll the neighborhood, enjoy great food, watch open-air cinema, and take in top live music. Everything happens around Plaza Arenales, which for one night turns into the perfect meeting point for locals and visitors alike.
Organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Buenos Aires City Government, the initiative is part of Summer in the City and BA 24 hs, with a clear goal: to energize the neighborhood’s commercial and food scene by bringing together historic venues and new proposals. Under the motto “Everyone to the table,” food takes center stage, with a boutique fair featuring some of Devoto’s most beloved classics and nearby favorites, all offering special menus for the occasion.

Throughout the night, visitors can wander among stands from Café de García, Buche Salumería, Farid, El Pastificio de Pablos, Diecci, Ritratto, Ávito Bistró Café, Tienta Helados, De Boca en Boca, Todo Brasas, and Estación Don Orza—perfect for putting together a flavor-packed crawl.
There will also be a live screen-printing station by House of Prints, where neighbors can take home a printed piece featuring an illustration by Euge Dibuja as a souvenir of the night.
The main stage has its own lineup, too. At 7:20 p.m., Café de García will host a live cooking demo to whet appetites. At 8:30 p.m., the ultimate summer plan arrives: open-air cinema with a screening of Papá x 2, directed by Hernán Guerschuny and starring Celeste Cid and Benjamín Vicuña. And to end the night on a high note, Los Tabaleros take the stage at 10 p.m. with a live show to dance and send the day off in style.
One night, plenty of reasons to head out, meet up, and enjoy summer with a neighborhood vibe. Devoto sets the table, the music, and the screen—now all that’s missing is you.
