After touring Paris, London, New York, Sydney, Lisbon and Shanghai, The Horizon of Khufu arrives in Argentina for the first time. This Augmented Virtual Reality experience opens on December 17 at the Frers Pavilion at La Rural.

The experience invites visitors into the heart of the Great Pyramid of Giza, traveling back in time to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It’s a journey designed to be felt, walked and explored—steeped in the history and mystery of one of the most influential civilizations of all time.

Thanks to cutting-edge technology, this adventure allows you to cross an impossible threshold in real life: uncover hidden passageways, peer into ancient chambers and experience up close a monument that forever changed the way we understand the world. Designed for all ages, it offers a fully immersive encounter with Ancient Egypt, as if you were truly there.

From the top of the pyramid to the Nile: a one-of-a-kind journey

The experience begins with a flyover of the Giza Plateau and continues with a virtual ascent to the summit of the Great Pyramid, offering a 360° view that amazes even the most seasoned travelers. From there, visitors venture into internal corridors and chambers that feel like levels in an archaeological video game: the Queen’s chambers, secret passageways, and even a reconstruction of a mummification ceremony inside a temple. The journey concludes with a sail along the Nile River to witness the final tribute to Pharaoh Khufu.

Technology grounded in historical accuracy

The Horizon of Khufu is based on the latest scientific discoveries about the pyramid. It was created in collaboration with Peter Der Manuelian and the team behind Harvard University’s Giza Project, who contributed years of archaeological research, plans, records and reconstructions to ensure an experience that is as accurate as it is immersive.

La Rural, Buenos Aires’ new technological hub

Since September 2025, DG Experience has transformed the Frers Pavilion into Argentina’s first center dedicated to high-end immersive experiences, opening a new dialogue between culture and technology. Its first exhibition, Art Masters, which allows visitors to step inside masterpieces from the Prado Museum, remains on display with great success through February.

With the arrival of The Horizon of Khufu, the venue is cemented as a hub for next-generation exhibitions, where two extraordinary worlds coexist: European art from the Prado and the grandeur of Ancient Egypt—brought together through Augmented Virtual Reality, all in one place.

When: from December 17.

Where: La Rural, Frers Pavilion, Buenos Aires. Tickets available here.
