Headline act Muse have had to pull out, and the event organisers are unable to find a suitable replacement at such short notice.

Calabash South Africa 2026 is cancelled, as the multi-Grammy Award-winning alt-rock giants Muse, set to headline one of South Africa's biggest live music events of the year, have pulled out.
"Due to reasons beyond everyone’s control, Muse can no longer perform in the UAE, South Africa, and India, and we’ve been unable to secure a suitable replacement headliner at short notice," the event organisers said in an official statement announcing that the event will no longer go ahead.
According to a Muse statement, they've pulled out "due to unforeseen circumstances."
"We will be unable to proceed with the upcoming scheduled shows. This has been a very difficult decision and one we did not take lightly. We’re truly sorry to everyone who purchased tickets and appreciate your understanding. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. We hope to be back with you again very soon."
Other powerhouse acts for this year's event included international favourites A Day To Remember, Simple Plan, and Nothing But Thieves, alongside South African heavyweights Prime Circle, who will be performing at both shows.
Cape Town fans had Die Heuwels Fantasties to look forward to, while VAN PLETZEN was expected to perform in Johannesburg.
Fans have expressed their frustration at the cancellation, suggesting that Calabash could have still gone ahead, as many would have been happy with supporting acts including Simple Plan, A Day To Remember and NBT.
"Losing Muse is a big loss, but I love the other 3 bands as well, so it still would have been a vibe! I just wish you had done a survey or something or offered refunds to those who wanted, but the rest of us would have really enjoyed the night," said Byronbowler.
"I was solely coming up to see a day to remember. I've been a fan for so many years please bring them," said Myketaylor_.
"Would have paid what I did just to see ADTR," added Marthinusss.
If you've booked for the event, your refund will be automated and should reflect in your account within 10 business days. The events were planned for the following dates, after tickets went on sale in early December last year.
"Fans who have purchased concert tickets, parking and park & ride tickets will automatically receive a full refund. Refunds have already started and should take up to 5 – 10 business days to reflect in your account. If your payment details are no longer valid, Ticketmaster will contact you directly. Please keep an eye on your inbox for further communication," advised the organisers.
