With Father’s Day just around the corner, secure your spot at one of these lunches and events happening in the Mother City.

On Sunday, 21 June, South Africa celebrates Father’s Day, traditionally observed on the third Sunday of June.
The Father's Day we know today originated in the United States in the early 1900s. It was inspired by Sonora Smart Dodd, whose father, a Civil War veteran, raised her and her siblings after their mother died in childbirth. The first Father’s Day was held on 19 June 1910, the birth month of Dodd’s father.
Whether you’re celebrating a dad, husband, grandfather, or fatherly figure in your life, we’ve rounded up some events happening in and around Cape Town to help with the celebrations.
