One of Romeo’s IG posts show him exploring the outskirts of the city, including the Signal Hill Kramat.

Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou? In Cape Town, apparently. The son of former England football player David Beckham touched down in the Mother City earlier this week.
While it’s unclear why the model is in South Africa, his clothing of choice is telling. The 23-year-old co-founded a performance sportswear brand, Intra Apparel, with Justin Saul earlier this year. The official launch was in June with the opening of its Soho store in London.
The clothing brand centres on the intersection between football culture and fashion. The South African connection comes in the form of South African Olympic swimmer Calvyn Justus.
Romeo has been busy these past several months. The second-born of David and Victoria Beckham fronted Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2026 campaign. He also made his acting debut in the June tennis romance ‘Forty Love’.
But that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his true passion, culture drip with a streetwear edge and his clothing brand Intra.
Repping Team SA
In July, Romeo was spotted donning green and gold at a Dallas Cowboys game. He was wearing a custom South African national team jacket designed by Calvyn. Team South Africa quickly jumped on the fit and posted an image of Romeo at the game on its official X account.
We see you Romeo, rocking the green and gold. 🇿🇦👀 https://t.co/Dj26aUGfsn

The jacket was part of the Team SA kit at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. If anything, the collaboration between Calvyn and Intra could be a clue as to why Romeo is in the country. In all of his social media posts, his Intra-branded clothing is prominently featured.
According to reports, Romeo is visiting South Africa with fashion and entertainment agent Saif Mahdhi and Polish supermodel and activist Anja Rubik to embark on an epic roadtrip.

‘Filming in progress’
Saif’s IG Stories, however, could be a clue as to why the trio are here.
He shared a photo of a mountain road with a “filming in progress” sign. Another IG Story shows film crew attempting to dispose of an unwanted slithery visitor on set.
Also, Chapman’s Peak and Noordhoek’s Long Beach were prominently featured, with Romeo joining the action.
Our guess is that Intra, and hopefully Calvyn’s Studio Justus have another collab brewing. Watch this space…
