The latest ode to Cape Town's unique street culture is one that you can lace up. Reebok South Africa has teamed up with local hip-hop heavyweight YoungstaCPT to launch the Oh-Two-1, a limited-edition sneaker that drips with the sounds, stories and soul of the Mother City.

To celebrate this iconic release, YoungstaCPT will be pulling up to meet fans and give a live performance at the Reebok store in Canal Walk Shopping Centre on Saturday, 1 November from 11 am.

The collab is also limited to only 500 pairs of the Oh-Two-1 exist - each signed, numbered, and boxed with a collectable sticker sheet straight out of YoungstaCPT’s lyrical world.

“This shoe is for my city, for my people,” says YoungstaCPT. “For everyone who built something out of nothing.”

Named after Cape Town’s area code, the design takes Reebok’s classic Pump OmniZone silhouette (a '90s icon in its own right) and gives it a local twist. Each detail riffs on the city’s rhythms from cassette tapes and Metrorail graffiti to the legendary Gatsby sandwich.

The collab forms part of Reebok SA’s Pure Mzansi Gold series - spotlighting South Africa’s top creative talent. Following the late AKA’s signature release, YoungstaCPT becomes the third local legend to design his own Reebok.

“YoungstaCPT fits the Reebok attitude more than anyone,” says PJ Morilly of Reebok South Africa. “He’s a leader. A storyteller. Someone who carved his own path.”

The Oh-Two-1 officially dropped today, retailing at R3,999 and is available via Reebok.co.za, Reebok stores, and select retailers including Sportscene, Studio88, Shelflife, Sneakerdistrict, and Y?Gen.

To mark the release, Reebok is rolling out a four-part mini documentary styled like a mixtape - blending behind-the-scenes footage, collabs, and creative storytelling. Watch the first episode by clicking on the video below.
