Maynardville 2026: Cape Ballet Africa | Giselle

The Maynardville Open-Air Festival returns for its 70th year. On 20 and 21 January, Cape Ballet Africa presents Giselle, uniting international and local talent under the artistic direction of Maina Gielgud. This timeless ballet tells the story of a peasant girl whose love and forgiveness transcend betrayal and even death, making it one of the most moving stories in classical ballet.

Maynardville 2026: Shakespeare's Twelfth Night

From 30 January to 7 March, Shakespeare’s 90-minute comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Steven Stead, will take the stage at Maynardville Park during the 70th Maynardville Open-Air Festival, bringing wit, romance, and mistaken identity to the iconic open-air venue.
