Normally, sports-crazed drinkers might not look twice at this unpolished Jefferson Park tavern, but once they do, two features will have them hooked on becoming regulars. One, an attached liquor store boasts killer prices and a great selection to help you move the party home. And two, the oval bar is rimmed with flat-screens covering every sport you could want to watch, from the majors to the obscure.

Great neighborhood (dive) bar with a great selection of rotating craft beers. Go on Thursday for a Tap This event. Food trucks are regulars for Friday after work and Tap This Thursday's. Store next door has a wide selection of bottled/can beer and if you follow them on Facebook and Twitter you can find out about special releases. It can get crowded and cramped - hoping they will knock thru the wall and expand into their event space eventually.
Fischman Liquors and Tavern may look like a run of the mill neighborhood watering hole, but the owners of this Jefferson Park institution take craft beer very seriously. You'll always find something special being tapped, including drafts from breweries like Three Floyds, Firestone Walker and Dogfish Head. Come in on Thursday night for one of the bar's "Tap This" events, which feature a tap takeover from a craft brewery and grub from local food trucks.
