“Chayhana” translates as Tea House and it is a type of casual eatery/cafe. Some Chayhanas only serve tea and snacks, while others offered a complete meal.
The relatively warm climate of some Central Asian regions as well as the Islamic traditions were the two major factors that led to the establishment of Chayhanas where folks could stop by and quench their thirst with a cup of tea (since alcohol was not allowed).
To this day Chayhanas serve an important role in Central Asian culture as a very traditional yet casual eateries where one can spend as little as it takes to finish a quick meal or as long as all day long.
At our Chayhana we strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our ability by offering traditional dishes as well as some of the more modern dishes. We offer delivery, carry out, as well as dine-in options.
