The Happy Dog says
On February 25th, 2015, The Cleveland Leadership Center and the Bernie Moreno Companies held a competition to solicit ideas to make Cleveland a better place. Twenty-five presenters were chosen from 64 civic pitch submissions, and five finalists shared $25,000 in prize money, plus mentorship, to make their civic visions reality.

But you didn't think we would leave it at that, did you? We've asked a bunch of the presenters and finalists back, five months later, to update the community on the progress they've made implementing their ideas to make Cleveland a better place!

On Thursday, June 25th, nearly a dozen presenters and finalists will be at the Dog starting at 7:30pm to tell you about their vision, their challenges and their successes. Projects include:

Cleveland Inkubator (a literary conference offering writing workshops, classes, talks and perfomances);
Cleveland Codes (Bringing Software Development to Low Income Populations);
Therapals (online therapy using video modeling for special needs kids);
LGBT Youth Culinary Program (training LGBT Youth for careers in the culinary industry);
The Cool School Rap Comic (Educational Comic Book Series); and,
Bring Crime to Cleaveland (a web TV crime drama series to be shot in Cleveland)
