An Apology for the Course and Outcome of Certain Events Delivered by Doctor John Faustus on This His Final Evening

by Mickle Maher
Directed by Sue Soltis

Robert Hawkes is Doctor John Faustus on his final evening on earth. At the end of his deal with the Devil for 24 years of magical power, Dr John Faustus finds himself in our own time, in "some arbitrary room in some random city," addressing "a few whoevers." Under the watchful and menacing eye of Mephistopheles himself, Faustus apologizes for not having recorded his own history, and for leaving it up to Marlowe, Goethe, et al. to tell the tale and, as he insists, to get it all wrong.

Featuring Robert Hawkes as Faustus and Ray Caspio as Mephistopheles. Lighting by CJ Pierce and Clyde Simon.

Running Thursday-Saturday, Apr 23-25. All shows at 8pm. Tickets $10-$15. Purchase online by clicking the link above or call 216.687.0074.
