Bead The Change says
Dare to “bead” different this Mother’s Day by joining us for a jewelry-making program to benefit elephants! This 3-hour program will take you into African Elephant Crossing to meet our herd of elephants and learn a little bit more about how we care for them!

Then, we’ll migrate to a classroom overlooking one of the elephant yards where participants will be able to make two pieces of jewelry. One for themselves – a necklace, bracelet, or earrings – and another one – bracelet or earrings – for a special person in their life!

All pieces will be made from tagua nuts, a natural, sustainability-sourced nut from Central and South American. Due to its similarities in color and composition, tagua nuts serve as an alternative to ivory and by using them for decorative pieces, we play a role in lessening the international demand for elephant ivory! So, come out and “bead” the change to help elephants!
