#ClevelandRockWeek will kick-off with a full day of fun for the entire family at the Rock Hall on Saturday, April 11! FREE admission and:

Live Music
Food Trucks
Family Programming and Kids Crafts
Film Screenings
New Exhibits

The day will end with the Rock N’ Blast fireworks show, sponsored by the Downtown Cleveland Alliance and presented by the Cleveland Indians, starting at 8 p.m. The award-winning display will feature Inductee-inspired music and video synchronized to pyrotechnics, lasting approximately 25 minutes.

2:00pm INSPIRE*ONE: rock and jazz fusion by Cleveland School of the Arts alum

4:00pm LATIN JAZZ BAND: salsa, merengue, cumbia and jazz fusion

5:30pm REVOLUTION BRASS BAND: New Orleans-style brass band

FOSTER THEATER-Museum 4th Floor: SPECIAL PROGRAMMING

9:15am FILM – "STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN AND DOUBLE TROUBLE LIVE AT AUSTIN CITY LIMITS" (63 minutes): Concert film featuring footage from both of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble performances at Austin City Limits in 1983 and 1989.

11:00am THE BACKBEATS: LIVE MUSIC FOR KIDS: Join The Backbeats, the Museum’s Education Department band, which will play hits by Pharrell, Taylor Swift, Chuck Berry and more!

12:00pm ALBUM SPOTLIGHT – LOU REED'S "TRANSFORMER" (1972): Listen to Lou Reed’s landmark album in its entirety and learn about its creation.

1:00pm and 3:30 pm WHO’S IN THE HALL OF FAME 2015?: Dig into the history and the hits of the 2015 Hall of Fame Inductees!

2:30pm “CLEVELAND IS THE CITY:” Explore the history of soul and rhythm and blues music in Cleveland, one of the cities that gave birth to rock and roll music.


EAT TO THE BEAT-Museum 3rd Floor:

10-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm: Hands on Education Stations with crafts, activities, instruments.

OTHER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:

1-5 pm: Food trucks on E. 9th St & Erieside

7 pm: Parade the Circle Stilt Walkers outside museum

8 pm: ROCK N' BLAST FIREWORKS: 25 minute Cleveland Indians Rock N Blast Fireworks show at Voinovich Park.
