The Cleveland Museum of Art says
Kara Walker’s art invites discussion and thoughtful contemplation on multiple levels. Join us for a workshop on Saturday, Dec 10 in which we will visit the CMA exhibition “The Ecstasy of St. Kara: Kara Walker, New Work”. Then, we will hear from professors Darby English and David Hart in the lecture “In Conversation: Talking About Kara Walker”. Lastly, we will meet with representatives from Facing History and Ourselves to learn strategies for facilitating classroom conversation on sensitive subjects.

Cost: $10; free for Teacher Resource Center Advantage program participants. Lunch is on your own, but workshop fee includes parking and materials.

Please register online at engage.clevelandart.org or through the ticket center, 216-421-7350 by December 6.
