Wendy Wasman, Cleveland Museum of Natural History Librarian & Archivist presents "Sailing into History: The Trials & Triumphs of the Blossom Expedition" Friday, January 22!

In 1923, Cleveland Museum of Natural History sent a small ship with a crew of scientists to the Cape Verde Islands and other remote areas in the South Atlantic to collect specimens. 31 months and 20,000 dangerous and sometimes troubled miles later, the Blossom Expedition returned with 13,000 specimens and countless tales—captured in journals, letters and photographs, now preserved in Museum archives.

Guarantee seating by purchasing tickets in advance at cmnh.org/explorerseries. Doors open at 5:30pm with a cash bar & live music in the lobby. Meals from Exploration: A Zack Bruell Restaurant will be available for purchase. The presentation begins at 7pm, followed by a Q&A session.

The Explorer Series is generously sponsored by PNC Bank and the Women’s Committee of Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
