Time Out says

Join Facing History in Cleveland for a free Community Conversation with Bryan Stevenson, attorney, human rights activist and author. He is one of the country's most visionary legal thinkers and social justice advocates. A MacArthur fellow and founder of the Equal Justice Initiative, Stevenson is a leader of the movement to fight mass incarceration in the United States. His memoir, "Just Mercy," tells of a young lawyer advocating for justice while fighting against extreme punishments and an unbalanced system. The stories he tells are heartbreaking, yet inspiring, and motivate audiences to take action and make a change in their own lives. Bryan Stevenson is an example of how everyday people can make courageous choices to build strong and inclusive communities. Facing History teaches students that their actions matter in the world, encouraging them to connect the dots between the ethical choices they’ll face in life and the outcomes. As part of Facing History's national series of Community Conversations sponsored by The Allstate Foundation, this event is free and open to the public, but you must register to attend: http://hstry.is/1CPn4mX
