Michigan Listening Tour: Detroit says
Please join us in Detroit on Saturday, December 17, at 2:00 p.m.

University of Michigan's Detroit Center
Ann Arbor Conference Room
3663 Woodward Ave.
Detroit, MI 48201

We are honored to announce State Sen. Coleman Young II (D-Detroit) will be with us for the evening and will be opening the event by welcoming the group.

In 2008, MPP spearheaded and funded the initiative that made Michigan the first state in the Midwest to allow medical marijuana. Now, we’re looking to work with Michigan advocates as we explore the possibility of another history-making ballot measure — a 2018 initiative to legalize and regulate marijuana for adult use!

In mid-December, MPP staffers including Executive Director Rob Kampia, Director of State Policies Karen O’Keefe, and Campaign Analyst Heather Azzi will conduct a listening tour of Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Detroit to share preliminary thoughts and to hear from Michiganders about the possible initiative. Please join us!

This event will take place in the Ann Arbor Conference Room, and it is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available in a paid garage on campus for $4/car. The parking structure is located on Parsons St. between Woodward Ave. and Cass Ave., less than a block from the Center. All guests must park on level 3 and above (level 1 is handicapped parking and level 2 is reserved for staff who work in the building.) Parking validation required. Bundle up -- it's supposed to be very cold!
