This is for all the active wine lovers…but not too active!

The Durban Wine Run is a scenic stroll while you enjoy a glass of wine and a gourmet snack along the way.

It returns on Saturday, 12 September 2026, with its Spring Edition taking over the landscaped trails of Westown Square in Durban's Outer West.

A wine tasting with a little more mileage

The concept is built around the idea of ‘epicurean mindfulness’ – basically, you need to slow down and enjoy the experience through food, wine, movement, and social connection.

Participants can choose to run or walk the scenic Westown Square Trails, with premium wine tastings at every kilometre serving as the rather tempting water tables.

Walking is actively encouraged, making the event accessible whether you're a seasoned runner or simply keen for a different way to spend the morning.

There will also be healthy gourmet treats prepared by Thompsons Meat chefs, entertainment and plenty of time to socialise with fellow wine lovers.

This is a delicious fun run you really don't want to miss.

Why Westown?

The Spring Edition is the first time the Durban Wine Run has been held at Westown Square, bringing the event's food-and-wine experience into one of the Outer West's newest lifestyle destinations.

The open-air precinct, landscaped trails and public spaces provide a backdrop that's particularly suited to the event – and there's plenty of room to linger once you've crossed the finish line.

So, grab your friends, put on something comfortable and prepare to work your way through the kilometre markers one wine tasting at a time.
