It doesn’t matter if you’ve crossed the finish line or simply cheered from the roadside (or your couch!), you could have the winning slogan to capture the spirit of the Comrades Marathon.
They’re looking for a slogan that captures the heart of the centenary celebration, with themes of courage, camaraderie, Ubuntu and the unique spirit that has made Comrades one of the world's most iconic ultramarathons.
The winning slogan will help define the historic event, while the top three finalists will receive an exclusive Comrades Marathon hamper.
What you need to know
- What: Call for the official 2027 Comrades Marathon centenary slogan
- Race date: Sunday, 13 June 2027
- Race route: Approximately 89km Down Run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban
- Submission deadline: Friday, 17 July 2026 at 4.30pm
- How to enter: Email info@comrades.com with subject line ‘2027 Comrades Marathon slogan’
- Include: Your proposed slogan | The language it is written in | A one- or two-line explanation of its meaning
- Prize: The top three finalists will each receive a Comrades Marathon hamper.
