The annual South32 Hippo Marathon returns to Richards Bay on Saturday, 11 April 2026, bringing hundreds of runners together for a morning of endurance, celebration and serious running spirit. Hosted by the Zululand Multi Sport Club, the race starts and finishes at the club grounds and has become a firm favourite on the provincial running calendar.
And this year’s event has an extra reason to celebrate as it marks the 30th anniversary of Hillside Aluminium, making the 2026 edition even more special.
Whether you’re chasing a marathon PB or simply want a scenic run with friends, the event offers a distance for almost every level of runner.
