A family friendly alternative to the oh-so-official Edinburgh Castle, the ruins of Craigmillar Castle in the south of the city practically encourage kids to bounce around the area. Again, it'll be completely free to enter on Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29, but you still have to register for tickets before Friday November 27.
