Coffees, beers and cocktails along with a privileged terrace in the Plaça de la Independència.
The empire of negronis, mojitos, gin and tonics, and beers has its Girona HQ in Plaça de la Independència: the Imperial Café & Lounge. And it's not only a great spot at night, because during the day it's an excellent café thanks to its terrace with views of some of the most active parts of the old town. On Thursdays, the crowd is mainly made up of university students, and you'll find low-cost drinks, big cocktails, and rows of shots of all colours and flavours available. To prepare your stomach and help offset all those drinks, you should try some of the 'montaditos' (tapas served on small slices of bread) that they have on offer. Before you choose, though, check out their constant range of special deals.
