Nights out in Llafranc will never be the same without the Rambo Cocktail, an alcoholic madness that was served at the Hotel Llafranc (which is commonly known as El Gitano) from 1989 until 2015. But in 2016, the hotel decided to take a new direction, a calmer one, that doesn't include people dancing on the bar until the early hours; although they do promise dancing at the weekends during the summer months and, of course, for the mid-summer celebration of Sant Joan (June 23).
The hotel's bedrooms look out over the sea and the views are a definite bonus when staying there. And if you're just passing through for a meal, don't forget to take a look at the photos of famous people who have also eaten in the restaurant, from Salvador Dalí to Ava Gardner.
