At La Cantonada you can enjoy an excellent weekday set menu, where they don't hang around in bringing you your order, but you don't feel that they're actually in a big rush. And that's thanks to the fact that this is a welcoming place with a good-value, quality set menu that features different dishes each day.
After many years of being run by local couple Assumpta and Rafael, at the end of 2015 it came under the control of another couple, Xavier and Susana, who originate from Barcelona, but have maintained the spirit and success of their predecessors.
The cooking at La Cantonada is honest, straightforward and offers the certainty of excellent, local products. But that doesn't mean that all you find there is Catalan cooking, as the owners' passion for travelling means they draw inspiration from global cuisines in what they prepare.
There is also a weekend set menu, which appeals to families and friends who fill the restaurant up. Don't miss the home-made desserts – they're simple but you can clearly spot Xavier's experience of working two years in a traditional patisserie.
