Time Out says

With a focus on rice dishes and fish, here they create unpretentious dishes, paying attention to what's important and charging prices affordable to all.

On the beach of Racó, just on the line between Pals and Begur, Solimar is located right on the seafront. It's the ideal place for rounding off a morning of sun with a tasty rice dish for lunch. Focused on rice and fish, here they create unpretentious food, getting the most important things right, and charging prices that are affordable for all budgets. The ambience is family-friendly and in the summer it fills up fast. So don't ruin a great beach day, and book your table in advance.

Everything is à la carte, and even though it's a seafront restaurant, the most popular rice dish is the casseole with ribs and sausage, although the lobster one and shellfish paella are also in demand. When it comes to the fish, the sea bass, cooked either in salt or in the oven, is a great choice. If you get to know the place well, and them you, then you can ring a few days in advance of going and order the fish you want to eat, even if it's not officially on the menu, and they'll cook it just the way you like it.
