Llibreria Geli

The Geli bookshop is one of the oldest in Catalonia and, for many Girona locals, is a must-visit every Saturday, after buying flowers on La Rambla (well, perhaps that image is a tad stereotyped but even so, there's some truth in the cliché). Still, let's leave the picture postcard behind and get to the point: at the Llibreria Geli it's a pleasure to go shopping. The staff are friendly, the premises are beautiful, the books well-displayed, and the children's section is excellent, while there's also a ladder available to clients for climbing up the bookshelves and seeking out forgotten treasures.
