Sala La Cate

La Cate is much more than a theatre. This venue, inaugurated in 1931 and currently managed by the Figueres town council, has been, through its various ups and downs, the home of theatre in the town. Since its most recent renovation, which reduced the seating to 300, it's become an ideal space for small- and medium-sized performances, classic cinema and documentary screenings, and even conferences. Throughout the year, La Cate also hosts different productions by amateur theatre groups.
