Ant Man Bug Discovery Zone says
Boy oh boy, we here at the Alamo Drafthouse are pretty excited for Marvel’s latest installment, ANT-MAN! Paul Rudd, a story by Edgar Wright, tiny insect action sequences on the big screen; what’s not to love?

We’re so excited that we’ve asked our friends at the Houston Museum of Natural Science to join us for a special screening of interactive insect fun! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a bug? The Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Bugs On Wheels program will answer just that! They’ll bring with them a selection of living insects and other arthropods from the Cockrell Butterfly Center into our theater a for hands-on, interactive presentation. This presentation gives the audience a chance to meet some of the most unusual members of the insect world, while learning about their native habitats and unique adaptations for survival.

Starting at 2PM, we’ll have insect experts on hand giving a short presentation on the life of a bug followed by some time for a Q&A and a hands-on (if you dare) opportunity. We’ll cap it all off with a screening of ANT-MAN.

Who knows? You might stumble upon an incredible super-suit that shrinks you down to the size of a bug and this information might save your life!

In ANT-MAN, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) needs to find and train a replacement to don his incredible suit, a suit that the shrinks the wearers size but also enhances their strength. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), an accomplished thief with a charming personality, might just be the right man to become the new ANT-MAN. Together they plan an international heist to save Dr. Pym’s technology as well as maybe the world from Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) aka Yellowjacket.

Parents please be aware that while our Bugs on Wheels presentation is perfect for anyone 6 and up, Ant-Man is rated PG-13.
