Auditions For The Room Plays By Scriptwriters/Houston

Scriptwriters/Houston will be holding Open Auditions for our annual theatre event, The Room Plays. This is an all-volunteer event. WHAT ARE THE ROOM PLAYS? A unique night of theatre featuring 10 original short plays (5-7 min each) written by local playwrights taking place in, and inspired by, the different rooms a spectacular home. WHEN? March 21, 2015 from 4:15 to 7:15 pm Auditions will be held in grouped time slots. Actors should check in several minutes before desired time slot. All directors should arrive at 4:00 pm Time Slots: 4:15, 5:15, and 6:15 pm PLEASE EMAIL scriptwriters.houston@gmail.com with your name, contact info, and desired time slot. This will secure your audition time. WHERE? Central Market - The Community Room 3815 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77027 WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Headshot and Resume WHAT WILL AUDITIONS ENTAIL? Prepare a one minute monologue. You may also be asked to perform cold readings from the scripts. You will be auditioning for all directors of all plays. Directors will choose actors following auditions. WHEN AND WHERE DO REHEARSALS RUN? Directors will communicate these details to selected actors. WHEN ARE PERFORMANCES? The Room Plays run on April 17, 18, 24, and 25. Shows begin at 7:00 and run 3-4 performances per night. WHERE ARE PERFORMANCES?
