The Company OnStage Theater is excited to announce auditions for the first production of its 2016-2017 season of productions for young audiences and audiences of all ages, the world premiere of "Sleepy Hollow," written by our very own L. Robert Westeen, directed by Renata Smith, and produced by special arrangement with the author.

Performances are Saturdays, October 8th through October 29th, 2016, 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

All auditions consist of cold readings from the script. Actors are asked to arrive fifteen minutes early and are encouraged to bring a headshot and a resume; no appointment is needed. Actors, please be prepared for movement and liberal interpretation of the script. A background in improv is favorable.

All roles are available and we ask that all actors for this production be no younger than age 16.

The day before All Hallows Eve and the inhabitants of the household gather together in the home of Diedrich Knickerbocker to hear the annual telling of the spooky tale of the ill fated Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. A surprising twist to the classic story finds its way into this exciting retelling of this most American of American Fables.

Roles:

Geoffrey - The elder of the five characters. He is wise, distinguished and at times starched and very set in his ways. He plays multiple characters within the Sleepy Hollow story including: Mr. Van Tassel

Seth - A young, eager gentleman. He is expressive and plays Ichabod Crane in the Sleepy Hollow story.

Phoebe - An intelligent and well rounded woman who plays Katrina Van Tassel in the Sleepy Hollow story.

Abner - A fine, strapping man who is at times a bit of a rebel. He plays Brom Bones and other characters in Sleepy Hollow.

Verity - A new and impressionable addition to the four members of the household. She plays multiple characters and Mrs. Van Tassel in the Sleepy Hollow story.
