We want to show Houston's City Council they need to VOTE YES for the Bike Plan. We will meet at Bike Houston's office (3610 Fannin St. Houston, TX 77004) before noon. We'll have a group ride to arrive at City Hall together or just meet at City Hall.

12:00 pm Leave BikeHouston office for ride to City Hall
12:30 Pep Rally on the steps of City Hall
1:30 Enter City Hall for public session

We need your help. The Houston Bike Plan** must be voted on by City Council - and it won’t pass without your support.

Join us at the Bike Plan Pep Rally to physically demonstrate that people on bicycles deserve safe, comfortable streets and trails.

This invitation is for you, your friends, and family to participate in the Bike Plan Pep Rally. The Houston Bike Plan, represented as a sacred treasure for the future of cycling, and a Ghost Bike, representing the tragic consequences of inaction, will be paraded on a 3 mile route through downtown. Beginning at BikeHouston’s Office, the ride will proceed by the Public Works & Engineering building, and end at the steps of City Hall. At that time, we will present the bike plan to the Mayor and Council Members and ask them to take action and vote yes. This is a call for any and all of you to be a part of it!

When BikeHouston spoke to Mayor Sylvester Turner he voiced his support for the bike plan and Mayor Turner used the words “bold” and “futuristic” to describe his transportations initiative for the city.

Join in for the Bike Plan Pep Rally to show the Mayor we need this bold transportation future NOW. Come and be counted! Fly your flag. Wear your club kit. Wear your favorite t-shirt. Blast your fire hot playlist and race ahead of the leader. This will be a fun and solemn event. All people who support riding should join to demonstrate our power and need for action to the City.

*Bring your ID so you can enter City Hall for public session.

Special THANKS to these Awesome Rides, shops, and organizations already commited to joining/supporting the ride: B-cycle, BikeHouston, BMX so, Clutch City Riders, Crucial Matter, Critical Mass, EEBR,HAM Cycles, HTX Bike Social, Ours Too Cycling, Spinn Cycles, Tour de Hood, add your group/shop name here - just message us and we’ll get you on.
